Swimrun is raced in pairs, tethered, and you do not change kit. You swim in your shoes and run in your wetsuit, alternating between the two for the whole course. That single rule shapes everything: what you wear is a compromise nobody is happy with, and it is the same compromise for the whole field.
The World Championship runs at Sandhamn in the Stockholm archipelago and is the origin of the sport. It is on our calendar for 7 September 2026, two days after the 20th Anniversary race in Stockholm.
We rate 11 of the 12 at 4 out of 5 and the Championship at 5. Sprint and Standard distances run at most venues, so this is enterable without committing to the full archipelago crossing.
Sweden and the United States hold the most rounds we index, with single events in Germany, Switzerland, Finland and France.
