The creator
Built by someone who kept losing races to bad calendars.
findmynextrace.com was created by Thomas Prommer, a technology and AI advisor who races HYROX in the Pro Division and has finished marathons and IRONMAN-distance triathlons. The site indexes 1,810 races across 9 disciplines.
Why this site exists
Racing across more than one discipline means living in more than one calendar. The IRONMAN site knows about IRONMAN. The HYROX season page knows about HYROX. A national federation knows what it sanctions and nothing else. Planning a year that includes a spring marathon, a summer 70.3 and an autumn HYROX means opening five sites and keeping the dates in your head.
The gap is not information. Every one of those calendars is published. The gap is that nobody normalises them onto one shape, so you cannot ask the obvious question: what can I race in October, within four hours' flight, that I am fit enough to finish.
That question is what this site answers. Everything else here follows from it, including the decisions that cost us pages: we do not list an event we cannot locate on a map, and we do not guess a distance a race has not stated.
Who Thomas is
Thomas Prommer has spent more than 20 years leading engineering and technology work. He was Global SVP of Engineering at adidas, Chief Information Officer at Sweetgreen, and President of Technology at Huge. He founded We The Flywheel, where he advises on AI strategy, platform engineering and technology due diligence.
He races: HYROX in the Pro Division, marathons, IRONMAN-distance triathlon and swimrun. That matters here for one reason. The awkward parts of an event are the lottery, the cutoff time, the transfer window and the connecting flight that does not work. Those are the parts he has been caught out by, so those are the parts this index publishes instead of smoothing over.
What independence means here
findmynextrace.com is not owned by a race operator, a registration platform or a ticketing agent. Nobody pays to be listed and nobody pays to rank higher. The site takes no cut of an entry fee. That is what lets it index IRONMAN and Challenge on the same page, in the same shape, with the same prestige scale applied to both.
