Privacy
Privacy policy.
Last updated 5 May 2026.
We keep this short because the data story is short: we collect anonymous page-view and click events to understand which races people are looking for. That's it.
What we collect
When you visit findmynextrace.com, our own telemetry endpoint (/api/track) records:
- The page you loaded (URL path)
- Clicks on tracked elements (race tiles, navigation, filters)
- Browser user agent, screen size, and approximate country (derived from IP at request time, not stored)
- A randomly-generated session identifier that lasts 30 minutes and is not tied to any account
We do not collect names, email addresses, IP addresses (the request IP is used in-memory for country lookup and discarded), GPS coordinates, or any account data. There is no login, so there is no account.
Cookies and third parties
We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. We do not embed Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party analytics on this site. We do not sell or share visitor data with anyone.
Cloudflare sits in front of the site for delivery and DDoS protection. Their privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy. Race detail pages link out to operator websites (IRONMAN, HYROX, etc.) where their own privacy terms apply.
What we use it for
The aggregate data tells us which sports, regions, and race types visitors care about, so we know what to index more deeply. We don't profile individual visitors, build advertising audiences, or share data with third parties.
Newsletters and forms
If you sign up for a future newsletter or submit a contact form, we store the email address you provide for the purpose of replying or sending the newsletter you asked for. We use Sendy on our own infrastructure for newsletter delivery — your email does not pass through Mailchimp, ConvertKit, or any other third party. You can unsubscribe at any time from the footer of any newsletter we send.
Your rights
You can ask us to delete any data we hold on you (which, if you've only browsed the site, is approximately nothing). Email [email protected] and we'll respond within seven days.
Changes
If we ever change what we collect, we'll update this page and note the change at the top. We won't silently start tracking more.
