Doubles, mixed doubles, and pro divisions sit alongside the standard solo race.
Season runs roughly September through May, capped by the World Championships. Most city events sell out months in advance; if a race here is showing as open for registration, that often won't last long.

HYROX: frequently asked questions
What is a HYROX race and what does it involve?
It is a standardised indoor fitness race: 8 km of running split into eight one-kilometre segments, each followed by a functional workout station: sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, and wall balls. The format is identical in every city, so your time in one venue is directly comparable to your time in another. Races run solo, in doubles, in mixed doubles, and in a pro division.
How far is the running in a HYROX race?
You run 8 km in total, broken into eight separate one-kilometre laps with a workout station between each. The running is what links the eight functional stations rather than a single continuous run. That structure rewards athletes who can hold pace while fatigued rather than pure runners or pure strength athletes.
When is the HYROX season and how far ahead do events sell out?
The competitive season runs roughly September through May and finishes with the World Championships. Most city events sell out months in advance because demand far outstrips the capacity of each venue. If a race here shows registration as open, book quickly: those slots rarely last.
Should a beginner enter solo or doubles?
Doubles is the easier entry point: partners share the stations and split the workload, so the intensity is lower and the format more forgiving. Solo is the full standard test and the division that carries a comparable world ranking. Filter by division on each event to see which formats a given race offers.
