The Sea of Cortez side is where the swimming happens, and it is warm and clear by April. What Baja does deliver is wind and swell, and this is a stretch of coast where the sea can look different from one morning to the next.
The bike runs along the highway between the two towns, which is scenic and exposed in equal measure. There is very little shade anywhere on this course.
