Swimrun races worldwide

Swimrun was invented as ÖTILLÖ in the Stockholm archipelago: teams of two crossing islands, swimming the gaps in the same shoes and gear they run in. The discipline has spread well beyond Sweden — Croatia, the UK, France, Hong Kong, Catalina — but the format stayed intact. Distances run from sprint events under 10 km to the 75 km ÖTILLÖ World Championship. Most races are pairs only, tethered by a 10-metre line. Filter by total distance and longest single swim — a 5 km open-water leg with no wetsuit-only rule is a very different proposition from twenty short island hops.
